Support to local governance structures in Syria
Description
To support local governance structures in opposition-held and contested parts of Syria to meet the needs of the community by providing training and financial assistance. This project will help up to 40 communities to meet their urgent needs and provide them with an alternative experience of governance - one which is transparent and accountable, thereby strengthening the social contract between the state and its citizens. The project will contribute towards the MDGs by reducing poverty and supporting good governance.
