Description

To respond to the humanitarian crisis in the Central African Republic (CAR) by providing grants totalling £18 million to the International Committee of the Red Cross, the World Food Programme’s United Nations Humanitarian Air Service, the UN Development Programme’s Common Humanitarian Fund and several Non-Governmental Organisations (contracts pending). They will provide cash grants, seeds and tools, access to clean water, work opportunities and improved access for humanitarian aid workers; and will address the immediate humanitarian needs of over 130,000 people for the period from January 2014 to March 2015.
