Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty
Description
To accelerate progress towards secure, equitable and accountable access to social protection by providing financial and technical assistance to the Government of Ghana's national cash transfer programme. DFID's support will enable 100,000 of the poorest people, including 60,000 women and girls, to receive regular cash grants by 2016. This contributes to our MDGs by lifting the extremely poor and vulnerable people in Ghana out of poverty by helping them meet their basic needs.
