Sanitation and Hygiene Programme in Zambia
Description
To increase coverage of improved hygiene and sanitation for an additional 3 million people (NutSen)To increase use of toilets and handwashing by providing rural communities with hygiene and sanitation promotion. This will benefit 5 million people and reduce water borne diseases. This programme aims to achieve MDG 7 target on sanitation coverage for Zambia by increasing use of improved toilets and will result in a 3% reduction in diarrhoea in children under 5 by 2015
