  • Building Resilience and Adaptation to Climate Extremes and Disasters BRACED is a flagship DFID programme under the International Climate Fund. BRACED aims to directly benefit up to 5 million vulnerable people, especially women and children, in 13 developing countries by helping them become more resilient to climate extremes and disasters.   • Building Resilience and Adaptation to Climate Extremes and Disasters (BRACED) BRACED - implementation phase. The Building Resilience and Adaptation to Climate Extremes and Disasters (BRACED) programme aims to explore approaches for building resilience in vulnerable communities within some of the most fragile states in the world. Funded by the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), BRACED aims to improve the well being of vulnerable people in developing countries by building their resilience to climate extremes and disasters. BRACED started in 2014 and the original contract was set to close by December 2017. Fifteen projects working in thirteen countries were approved under the first round of funding. BRACED was extended for another eighteen months, to end on 30 September 2019. The extension comprises of eight implementation projects, five policy projects and six country dialogues.   • Building Resilience and Adapting to Climate Extremes and Disasters Programme (BRACED) BRACED is helping people become more resilient to climate extremes in South and Southeast Asia and in the African Sahel and its neighbouring countries. To improve the integration of disaster risk reduction and climate adaptation methods into development approaches, BRACED seeks to influence policies and practices at the local, national and international level.   • Climate Extremes Response This project aims to scale up proven technologies and practices to build the resilience of people to cope with climate extremes and to enable communities to better respond to climate extremes such as drought. Total Project Budget: £76,080 DFID Funding: £3,562

Palladium International Ltd (UK)

  • Partnership for Forests Partnerships for Forests (P4F) aims to support the emergence of a new investment model in which the public sector, private sector companies and wider communities can achieve better returns from sustainable forestry and land use than they are able to from deforestation and land degradation. The main objective of the programme is to support a set of public-private partnerships (PPPs) and initiatives which demonstrate how the private sector can contribute to a reduction in rates of deforestation, as well as a range of related enabling activities to address the policy environment Total Project Budget: £43,414,892 DFID Funding: £8,792,197
