Last updated: 09/10/2019
IATI Identifier: GB-1-204266

Description

To support poor rural women by providing them with reliable access to a range of effective family planning services through mobile clinical outreach and by delivering more than 4.4million Couple-Years of Protection (CYPs) to over 1.1million rural women and adolescence girls. The project will also provide 30,000 women and girls with access to safe post-abortion care (medical and surgical) resulting in fewer deaths and serious complications) and at least 800 health workers will be trained to offer a wider range of contraceptive services. This will result in more than 916,000 fewer pregnancies and 2,300 fewer maternal deaths by 2018. The project will also provide around 28,000 women who have suffered sexual violence with support to aid them in recovering as well as helping them to advance their court cases, making the environment more supportive for women.
