Strategic Evaluation Fund (2015 - 2018)
Description
The Strategic Evaluation Fund (2015 - 2018) will directly contribute to strategic outcomes identified under DFID’s Evaluation Strategy 2014-2019, by producing high quality, technical guidance and improving the communication, dissemination and use of evaluation within and outside of DFID. Evaluation needs to be able to respond to the shifting environment in which we deliver development assistance. This will help DFID improve its understanding of the impact that development programmes are having on poverty reduction in a large number of DFID priority areas including governance, private sector development, climate change and gender. The impact of SEF is increased effectiveness and impact of development interventions that reduce poverty, promote social well-being, and build sustainable economic growth using evidence from high quality evaluations.
