This project will meet the need of rural Malawi communities for a clean, safe, reliable source of drinking water which is easily maintained by the households which will benefit from it. We will build, with community support, 1,500 Elephant (rope) Pumps (500 per annum) to provide a protected source of clean water to approximately 150,000 people who currently have no access to safe water supplies, and we will work with communities to embed good practice and increase sustainability.;
