The project will secure improved SRHR for vulnerable ethnic minority women and girls of childbearing age and children under 2 in hard-to-reach areas Kachin and Shan States, Burma. By improving access to SRH services, skilled birth attendance, family planning, and infant health services and education, it will contribute to the achievement of MDG5 and MDG4. HIV prevention and support, particularly for commercial sex workers and injecting drug users, will contribute to MDG6. Educating women and girls on their SRHR rights will contribute to MDG3.
