Description
The programme will assist KP Merged Districts,Pakistan's poorest and historically most unstable area, to become better governed and better able to provide for its population's needs, including improved basic services and economic opportunities. The UK will fund technical assistance to help meet the basic needs of KP's population and to assist the implementation of the Government of Pakistan's proposed reform package, initially through the United Nations. The programme will adapt as the reforms progress. It will, over the lifetime of the programme, cover: livelihoods and resilience support to people in and returning to FATA; health and education; local governance and economic governance.
