Delivering Locally Led Adaptation Action (LIFE-AR) (Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience)
Description
This programme will build the resilience of up to 4.5 million people in 78 locations across six self-selected countries. Over 5 years, at least six countries, Bhutan, Ethiopia, Uganda, Malawi, Burkina Faso and The Gambia, will be supported to integrate climate into their national planning and financial processes, such as their growth plans and budgets, including through establishing cross-government mechanisms to coordinate action across Government departments and Ministries. This will enable those governments to establish the mechanisms to channel at least 70% of climate finance to support locally led climate adaptation actions, by 2030 and set up peer learning systems to share knowledge and best practice.
