The programme works with government and civil society at federal and state levels to reduce inefficiency and corruption in the use of Nigerian resources and therefore improve delivery of services, including for women, girls and persons with disability. It does this in partnership with other DFID programmes supporting service delivery by helping Nigerian stakeholders improve accountability for use of resources including improving processes for raising revenue, allocating resources, planning and programme implementation.

UK Action Against Corruption (UKACT) Programme reduces the incentives of corrupt individuals in developing countries to use the UK to launder money; and for UK business and nationals or their agents to bribe in developing countries. The programme will increase UK law enforcement's capacity to trace, confiscate and return stolen assets to developing countries and to tackle bribery in developing countries.
DFID will pursue actions globally to improve land rights protection to: help ensure women and men enjoy legally recognised, secure property and tenure rights. To Improve information and knowledgeto facilitate the provision of clear, transparent land related information and knowledge, enabling rights to be identified, understood and protected. To improve private sector investment through the development and rollout of a standardized investment risk assessment methodology and implementation of best practice in land governance.
GREAT for Partnership will multiply the UK’s development impact by boosting partnerships between UK’s institutions and their counterparts in the developing world. International Anti-Corruption Programme (I-ACT) is a multi-component programme which makes fighting corruption a top priority for the international community to address the impact of corruption on the poorest countries and people. It will follow through on Anti-Corruption Summit actions aimed at preventing corruption, ending impunity, and empowering those who have suffered from it. It will focus on strengthening the international architecture and response on anti-corruption, and will include work with new digital technologies to strengthen civil society in partner countries.
To support increased accountability in Uganda and addresses corruption by supporting central government accountability institutions to improve coordination across the anti-corruption and accountability sector in identifying, investigating and prosecuting the corrupt, ensuring they are administratively and criminally sanctioned and their assets confiscated and to also increase citizen participation in local governance and accountability of 35 local governments for effective service delivery.
