Protecting Human Rights Defenders In Colombia: Territorial process of guarantees for human rights defenders and peace building in Colombia
Description
The project will set up local coordination mechanisms called "Regional Guarantees Roundtables" in seven regions of Colombia, for consultation and dialogue between human rights defenders, local and national government and the international community. At the roundtables protection measures for human rights defenders will be jointly agreed; they will identify specific needs for protection, including those of women human rights defenders, and also contribute to monitor the human rights situation in areas highly impacted by the armed conflict, and where the peace agreements will be implemented
